ya know thats what i wanted to do originally but then i started seeing all the horror stories on here about the blacked out tails melting the plastic and chipping and such. Andrizzle has a pretty recent thread about what I'm refering to. Maybe just a slight darkening of the entire lens?
I'm not even sure if I like it myself. Our options are somewhat limited as far as tail light mods, ya think?

I'm considering modding my taillights like this. FYI this is NOT my car. I just did a google search for 03 ls tails to get a good picture. Eventually i'll get a pic of my own but this 5 minute photoshop jobber will do for now just to get the idea.

So I got an iPod adapter cable for my '03 Lincoln LS. Has an indash 6disk changer. I've never done anything like this before so I looked up some threads and the tech article on how to slide out the radio. Doesn't seem to complicated. Although the threads I found were for '00 - '02 models, not...
Today the issue...went away I suppose.
The problem existed this morning on my way to work. Then on my break I went to go fill up the gas tank. I was at about 1/4. Filled it up with 93octane (as always) drove away and the issues were gone.
Car sounds back to normal. Accelerates great...
I purchased an 03 LS V8 a lil over 2 months ago with 66k. 71k on it now. Car hasn't been able to get an inspection due to emission problems. Dealership to fix. Check engine light has been on. Never flashes. When scanned throws the P0420 code (catalytic converter below threshhold [bank1])
