Swapped in a mint rear subframe along with a 80K mile 3:58 gear carrier after new seals and fluids. My old frame had two rot areas.

Woodgrain delete on my Gen 1. Did dash, all doors, and wheel. Paint used is "stainless steel" metallic from Lowe's. Only the wheel was clear coated for durability. The finish is matte otherwise.

I was asking about Gen 1 and Gen 2 LS frame differences. I just need to swap the frame itself and was wanting to know if all LS's used the same frame to have more buying options etc. I'm swapping in a V6 auto rear pumpkin..same unit just a lower gear and only $200 shipped.

Frame rot on drivers side..the rest of it and the bushings are in great shape. I've been wanting to pull it and paint the frame and swap in a lower ratio V6 rear anyway so this was just an added expense. May have the replacement frame powder coated as well.

I found a cherry 02 T-bird subframe..but didn't know if any LS subframe will interchange as its opens up more options on getting a good deal on one. I have a Gen 1 LS.

Most failures like that would probably be worn servo bores which burns up the bands. You already got a good deal on the car at $500 ..if its really good condition then invest in a rebuilt trans and converter and swap it. If you are looking to resell then just buy a used one off Ebay from a high...

Going to need a rear subframe swap soon and wanted to check on this to eliminate issues. Is the Thunderbird the same as Gen 1 LS ? Thanks to anyone who has looked into this and replies.

These are the narrow style markers that ONLY fit the LS "Sport" option. Bumper covers that have the chrome trim use a wider marker. The two fog lights were bought new last year and have JDM LED bulbs less than 8 months old. These will fit any LS Generation 1 car dating from 2000-2002. Including...

The front bumper markers ? The fastening tabs are nearest the wheel areas of the marker..the other end is a hinge of sorts....reach ya hand up from under the fog light area of the bumper to help release the clip while gently prying with a flat screwdriver. Id put some masking tape at the pry...

Any auto grade should be good. Prep is key and let it dry a few weeks then color sand the clear and buff to look best.
