There seems to be a steady drip sound coming from the passenger side, almost like a very slight metal "TINK" ... "TINK".... and it's rhythmic. We may have a culprit. Is this an intermediate to beginner job? I'd hate to pay someone for a little weekend elbow grease. Will I need to pull stuff...

check, check, check, check, check, check.... done it all. done the coils, plugs, fuel filter, etc etc. what could be left? It's still only happening about 70% of the time, and the smell of gas continues. should I start from the top and do it all again?

At my wits end, but I think I'm on to something. Gas mileage is really suffering now, and I hear a noise with every touch of the gas. Fuel pressure regulator??? Would love to know the part # or suggested replacement piece.

Replaced IAC and the issue remains.

I'll give it a try with the accelerator down for a few starts in the next two days. If it seems like improvement, I'll order a new IAC asap. Hoping that's it!

Just finished cleaning the IAC. Seemed to kind of work, and started well a few times. After a test drive, it seemed to revert back. I tried a few warm starts and they were somewhat rocky. The IAC itself looks pretty worn, and there was a lot of carbon on the inside. Thinking maybe I'll get...

MAF cleaned thoroughly. No change. Let's play the IAC game! None of my local stores have it...Plus, from what I can see online, it may be cheaper to do it on my own. Would love a link to the right one to buy! I see a few variations. Also, any links to a walkthrough? I'm sure it's something...

I pulled the MAF this weekend and it was absolutely spotless, connections looked perfect. I'll need to replace the air filter, but the filter itself was not really all that shabby (but it's seen better days). Makes me think I'll end up doing the IAC this weekend. I'll try to clean it first...

Best place to buy new MAF/IAC? Ya'll got me the hookup on some Visteons last time!:D
