Drilled & Slotted
I put a set of the R1 drilled and slotted on my '97 Mark and it would pitch you through the windshield. They were very sticky. Great product. They did have a little growl when hauled to almost a stop but well worth the trade off in shorter stopping distance.
She Is Sold - Thanks!
She is rolling out of the drive now. Mark & Ann got a really good deal on this one & I wish them many miles of Mark VIII enjoyment.
R1 Concept Brake Rotors
These are the same rotors I put on my '97 Mark. I bought them because they were on sale and shipping and everything was right at $140. They will make a little noise when you get almost to a stop under heavy braking (deer) but do make the car stop faster. No problems...
This is the 1999 I plan on replacing my '97 Mark with. This car has 145,000 miles on it but it is very clean and everything seems to be working on it. I bought it, stopped on the way home and picked up new pads and front rotors and have done nothing else to it. The paint on it is near perfect...
This should make a good car for the new owner! I enjoyed having it for the last 8 months. Great ride.
I could be in the market for another one by the end of the year....
Odors
I notice all sorts of smells when I blast past someone with the sunroof open. I think it may be only opening mine up once in a blue moon that may have something to do with it. That or the junk 10% meth gas we get here.
I have seen this happen before.
I watched a fellow change lanes and cause another mini suv to flip. He never even touched the brakes to see if the other people survived. We live near a military base and the ones in the crash were deploying with a car full of medical supplies. We wrapped them...
Mark VIII against Vette Issue
As I make my way to work along some twisty, deer infested back roads I sometimes drive my '97 Mark and sometimes drive my '91 Corvette. I set the cruise at 65 mph and let them rip. There is a set of switchbacks where I never have to take the Lincoln by the horns...
This car is the Pearlescent Ivory Tri Coat with chocolate and ivory interior. 164,000 or so miles. There is a lot of life left in this one. I have replaced 1 coil, an upper a arm and a tie rod end. I also installed drilled and slotted rotors with new pads. There are some quirks and needs...
Today I bought a '99 Town Car and though it is not the same animal as my Mark VIII I think I may let the Mark go. The Mark VIII is in really good shape with 164,000 showing. I bought it December 31, 2007 and have put 14,000 or so on it this year. The front end has received a driver side tie...
No code - No problem!
This car was not bringing up a code & did not have a light on. I bought 4 boots to replace the ones that were even discolored. Then I bought one coil from ebay. Some one has a buy it now for less than $26.00. I started by replacing the #4 coil. Still a miss every now...
