How should I hook it straight to the battery?

Thanks for the tip! I tried that and it did nothing. My AC doesn't work currently due to a vacuum leak, but should turning it on kick the fan on anyway?

How do you test it like that? Sorry I'm literally terrible when it comes to cars lol but too poor to take it somewhere

I narrowed the the problem of my fan not running to either the fan motor or the vcrm, and someone suggested testing the motor by hooking it directly to the battery, and how would be the best way to do this? I can't really tell where that fan motor cable is going, it just kinda disappears lol...

My keypad has always worked, I just wish you could leave your car running and lock it sometimes because that would be handy

Well I hooked it up with a wire adapter harness and all the wires hooked right up fine except a couple that were for a remote and lights or something like that and the unit lights up and seems to work and all that but no sound

Update, I was taking it apart and I noticed there was a wire that wasn't hooked up so I was like well that must be why it won't light up so I connected the wire and turned on the lights it started smoking and crackling real bad. Does this mean it has water sitting in the electronics somewhere?

I bought a aftermarket CD player before doing my research and found out the factory amp in my 98 is not compatible with aftermarket stereos. So I was wondering if I could just bypass the amp because a new one isn't really in my budget right now. Also where is the amp? I was sorta guessing it...

Okay, repairing the light on my car was not high on my priority list of repairs, but it looks like I may be able to do it cheaply so why not? I know the preferred inverter choice is a Glitch inverter but i found someone else who said they used this one...

I haven't tested that but it very well could be. I'm going to check the blend door error code tomorrow. If the vacuum is leaking (which is most likely caused by a cracked hose, correct?) Can I fix it by replacing that hose?
