From what I know Béla (inventor) stopped making these 10 years ago. I reached out to him back then, but didn't receive a response. Did anyone else try to purchase one with success?

Did you check the transmission wires/wire connector? From xtriggerman's response: "seeping trans oil from seals had gotten the wires to the trans connector wet. The oil turned the wire insulation to a chalk like substance that flaked off with any movement to the wires at all"

Do you live in an area that uses salt in the winter? If so look underneath at the left front driver side between rad and your ABS pump. Between front left wheel and bottom left rad area, there is a air pump hose that connects to a second hose. Its connected by a metal coupling or air hose...

Far better deal than in Canada. We have a all you can carry for $75 CAD, but you have to carry it out of the yard. I'm looking at a pic yard and just the transmission is $250CAD, if I lay on the ground and remove it.

Hey all, I've been on the hunt for a transmission for mu 98 M8 for some time now. Not too easy to find here. My baby has 152k miles and the salt here has not been kind to her. One thing to watch is the temperature. Mine would not drop unless it was 45 degrees or lower. The colder the quicker the drop. Raising the car with the switch off wouldn't cause the issue. Unless maybe that with raising the one of the bags got caught on debris and it damaged one of the bags...
