Update. Mechanic says ball joints are fine. I get a pull to left while braking. He says I need trailer arm bushings?? Is that control arm bushings? I came find any trailer arm bushings. He did moog strut rod problem solvers last spring and those are fine. He said my problem has to be trailer arm...
I replaced the strut rod bushings last year with the Moog. So far so good. I’m replacing my ball joints with OEM Motorcraft. Got 2 Motorcraft lower ball joints for $70 on EBay. Seems most Motorcraft chassis parts are getting really hard to find for our Marks
He does great work. I won’t tackle this one. Leave it to the professional. Just thought the $500 was a bit steep. Other shops were priced about the same. Without the alignment he’s gonna do for free.
98 LSC 70k original ball joints so replacing them now. I have OE Motorcaft ball joints for replacement. Labor quote from my mechanic was $500 to replace for both sides. Said he’ll align it for free. Is this a fair price to do this? I know it’s not the easiest thing in the world. But $500??
I’ll have to check that out. It’s definitely gotta be something like that because it’s a quick flash and it goes away. I don’t even have time to hit the reset button. Message pops up randomly then just goes away
98 Mark 97k miles. Check transmission message comes on and off and OD light flashes. Randomly did it today for about 30 seconds. Fluid is full. Trans didn’t slip nor act like their was a malfunction. Very odd. Anyone experienced this before? Fix?
