Gen 1 Premium vs. Sport differences

Hey everyone I tried to do a search and find a thread related to this issue and came up empty:confused: (maybe cuz I'm new to the site), but I was just wondering if anyone knew any more differences between the gen 1 premium and the gen 1 sport besides having a posi rear end or an independent.
 
Didnt kno one came with a posi.
Use google and search with this website in the search terms. Works better.

Where do people get info like this?
 
I believe that 'Premium' is a collection of trim items. Sport starts with such hardware items as the shiftable auto trans, the heavier-duty suspension items, the 17" wheels and the concomitant tires, and then moves on to the trim items such as the bumper-chrome delete and the all-leather steering wheel and shift knob.

The above is not all-inclusive, but I think you'll get the idea. As said, all LSs have independent rear suspensions and none of them had a limited-slip diff.

I meet a guy at an LS meet In New Haven CT who had swaped his Independent for a limited slip diff out of an older Mark VIII but while talking to him he just said it was a sport and mentioned nothing of the swap, simple miscomunication.

And to the rest of you thank you for the help
