I just installed my HIDs converter kit and they look nice, not that bright though. But I don't wont to blind other drivers, I have 2005 Lincoln with halogen housing, is there any othr way to get the his projectors instead of buying them for 1200$? How much does Lincoln charge?

The projectors you speak of are not projectors. They are specially designed reflector housings to direct the light rather than scatter it. If you really want to go above and beyond retrofit some projectors in your halogen headlight housing. Not the look I'd go for but it's been done once before that I know.

Lincoln will charge like you said about $1200+ per headlight, if they still have them (thinking they do). They are high quality OEM HID though with it all contained in one unit. @joegr mentioned in another thread that he's never heard of one failing prematurely. Is it worth the swap, maybe to some, but others have put HID in the halogen housing, Shredicus adjusted where they point to not glare oncoming drivers as bad, and haven't had issues with how bright they're.

What kits are you running? Color temp? if you're running anything more than 4300-5000k you start to lose output. The bluer you get the more strain on the eyes, yada yada yada.

Crap, forgot to mention @Shredicus. #so to @Shredicus in the last post. Just trying to give people credit where credit is due. I'm no expert but this is all fresh in my mind.

Trying to distinguish people's handles on here. If I would have put just "joegr" a new user might have thought "who or what the hell is that". I'd call people by there names but unless it's blatantly obvious in their handle, I don't know it.

Lastly, in the name of @dcigs via YouTube "why you hatin'?"

Lol no hatin here. Just tryna keep myself entertained somehow. Im bored as fk lol

No worries, same here. If you're bored check out dcigs on YouTube, great stuff! Now back to the thread at hand lol.

Lol, well I got the 10000k from carid, bad idea?? One of my ballast alrdy dropped and wont work so I have to wait for another one. The hids weren't as bright as I thought.

Oh and can't I order from retrofit? Do they have projectors that fit our cars?

10000k is really blue, and doesn't have very good light output whatsoever. Most of us here stay in the ranges of 4300k-6000k for the brightest output. Anything after that the output is diminished.

They would have to be "retrofited" anyways, all custom work. I know there is one person here that did it, but it was a total custom job.

After I finish getting my HID shields to work 100%, I'm moving on to my next lighting project: retrofitting projectors...

Do you an ebay search for "HID projector" and you will find plenty of options.

As for your current setup, DDM still sells their digital slim kit... I'd order a 5000K or 6000K kit from them... It will be MUCH brighter than your 10000K kit.

So thts 100$ I wasted haha. Unless I just order the 6000k bulbs from DDR and keep my same setup

In ddm, what is the difference between the 55 watt and 35? Also, is it possible to just order a ballast from them and have mismatch ballast?

55 watts is brighter than 35. More watts, more light output. If you already have 2 ballasts on the way, then just order the bulbs from DDM. I wouldn't order any more ballasts unless one fails.

You get a little bit more output with the higher wattage. You may want to swap wiring though since you're pumping a little more juice through it. You'll probably be fine just swapping bulbs and keeping your current kits.

10,000k no wonder they weren't bright. Those things are damn near purple if I'm not mistaken and the last time i check there's a lotta purple that can look black.

TRS has a lot stuff, so does Ebay, as mentioned that's full blown custom work though. Lot of options though in terms of projectors to choose from. 4 bi-xenon as mentioned before on this site would be wicked awesome if done right and you could see for miles. The blackest of black will be lit up like mid-day. If you want a quick pic of what the projector looks like just google search images "lincoln ls projector". That guy went through TRS.

If I can ever find a dir cheap set of Gen II housings I was thinking about doing a retro fit. This stuff is fun to work with.
