no power when taking off from start. hesatation sometimes . and loss of power

i have a 2002 lincoln ls v8. about 3 months ago it started idling rough. almost like itwas going to cut out. and i get a hesation when im at about 40-50 mph. took it to a shop about four months ago and they said i had water in my tank. so i had a fuel tank r+r and lises cleaned. SAME PROBLEM STILL HAPPENS! here is a list of problems. low shaky idle. loss of power when taking off from stop, and when accelorating. hessataion when at about 40-50 mph. i have no check engine light. and had coils changed about three years ago.....also does your check engine light always come on when coils are bad?

almost never


as for your problem, seems to happen a lot, you should take a look around here as im sure somebody has came across it before, its been discussed a few times, hell it might even be covered in one of the sticky threads (hint: try the 4th one down)
