Rough Shifting, Almost slipping into neutral

I am getting extremely annoyed with my LS at this point. I first was experiencing rough shifting and weird slips between 4-5 gear when giving it throttle at highway speeds. After cleaning the valve body and replacing a broken spring, the problem was still prevalent. So i had the entire transmission rebuilt, and the thing almost seems worse. At slow speeds, it will slip into neutral it seems like, and randomly pop back in gear. Its embarrassing because it makes it look like a have a 5 speed and i don't know how to use a clutch. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Im tired of my car running like :q:q:q:q.
 
Did they replace the solenoid? Do you have the repair bill saying what they replaced? Did they offer a warranty?
 
this may be way out of left field, but i recently had almost this exact same problem right after i had my tranny replaced.

Turned out that it just needed a little more oil. Since the new tranny was completely dry when it was brought in, the shop just filled it and didn't drive the car around for a bit. So it needed a little more mercon v. Its been perfect ever since.
 
It could be fluid level. It could be the solenoid pack as well. If it was rebuilt, you should have a warranty and should get it back to the mechanic ASAP so that they can diagnose it.
 
+1 on going back to the shop, thats what you spent all that money for... no?
 
Take it back to the shop and point out the 5R55 thread. Chances are good that they don't even know that is the problem and most definitely won't know the proper fix.

Unless you get these wet they are good forever.

...also - don't feed them after midnight.
