How do i take these off?

Does anybody know how to take these off. I am trying to get to my fuel pump for a 2000 lincoln ls V8. I cant take it out because these lines wont budge at all, i looked at the other forum and these do not click on their and i dont think it will be wise to cut them off either. Is their a way to get these off, is it because the fuel pressure buildup that these wont come off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like the tubes on the EGR valve. I could be wrong. They should just come off when you pull or pinch. I can't remember but I didn't have any trouble taking them off. Be careful though, my tubes were VERY brittle and I ended up breaking them all, but I replaced the tubes for $6 at an auto parts store.

Gently squeeze the tabs on the red thing and the white thing. These are the fuel line quick releases. It should go easier if you bleed off the fuel pressure in the lines first.
Don't cut the lines.

Sorry, no. A 60 PSI fuel line is much different from a vacuum line.

How do you bleed the fuel lines? i disconnected the battery already, do i need to plug it back in and step on the gas peddle?

No, that wouldn't do anything.

You can bleed it via the pressure test port on the fuel line (if present).

You can bleed it by removing the fuel filter. (You probably need to change it anyway.) Throw an old rag over the first connection that you pull out to prevent the gas from spraying on you.

Another way is to start the engine and pull the fuel pump fuse. Wait for the engine to stall.

But seriously, what Joegr already said. If you are having a hard time getting your claws in there (like I usually do) then you can use some long needle nose pliers. Just go slow and don't squeeze too much. They do tend to break if you put the gorilla grip to them.
