I have read that you have to file a tab down to on the HID harness to put it on an ls that came with halogen headlights, but i have never seen or known which tab it is. I have HID headlight but I bought them from someone who swaped them out for his halogens so he had already modded them to fit. I had a pair of HID headlight that came on LS and I was able to see the difference in them. A pic of the tab that you file down, for those in the future that want to do the swap.

Good info! i saw a guy selling a set from a 2005 LS and was wondering what it would take to get them on my 2004 and replace the stock. Even though I have HID's i just feel like the factory HID's would look better.

For those of you who do not want to grind the notch off, mating connector for HIDs is as follows:

Cable applied (female) connector to mate with your HID connector on the light is Molex p/n 33472-0607. And Molex p/n 33012-2001 can be used for the crimp terminal.

It is the MX150 series 6posn 2 row female connector with polarization B

Thanks Tom for your reply and the info. I was searching on Molex website this morning and found the piece I needed and it matched the one you listed. Now where can I order it from? Can I get it from them directly are do I have to go through a distributor that sales Molex products?

Check with Newark Electronics. Or as much as I hate to say it, DigiKey (they are our main US competitor)

Newark's sales number is 800 463 9275

It's what I do for a living, so no big deal :) need more pics of that tuxedo black though!

Doesn't surprise me. We tend to stock the standard polarizations only. That's the right one though. These are pretty easy to terminate. Use 18 or 20awg wire and the correct crimper and you will be fine. If you want - order the male A polarization connector and male pins and order the female you need and I will build you the harness. I have the correct crimper and die set on my desk at work. But I only have the 2 position mx150 connectors. I can make the harnesses so everything is plug and play

Ok so if I bought the connectors listed on Ebay that will connect directly to the lights, what else would I need besides wiring? I shouldn't need the A polarization connector correct? After the wires and terminals are connected to the B polarization connector, then the only thing left will be for me to splice into the harness on the car. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes. Or you could get the A polarization connector to build a full plug and play harness, rather than splicing into a high current draw (at ballast startup) wire harness. Unless you do a completely sealed splice, I wouldn't recommend it.

Ok that's how how I got the current connectors on the car.. They are spliced into the headlight harness and are completely sealed. I bought an extra set because I knew I was going to be doing these lights. When I sell the halogen I'm selling all the wiring as is so the buyer can just plug and play. I will go ahead and get the connectors off of Ebay and when they come in, I'll send you a PM for your information. I'm willing to pay whatever you will charge me. Once again thanks for helping me out with this.

just pay shipping. PM me when you get them in and we will work something out.

If you wait till tomorrow to order, I will call my buddy at Molex and see if I can get "samples" of both male and female A and B polarization connectors.

These are active production product so they should have some on their shelf to sample out.

We are their largest US distributor, so we do get preferential treatment sometimes :)

but if more people seem to want to get the OEM HIDs I can make the plug and play harnesses on a more regular basis.

Are you still selling the 2nd gens w/ angel eyes?

And the car looks awesome in that Tuxedo Black. Saw an MKS EcoBoost at the dealer the other day in that color, just fantastic up close and in the sun.

Just submitted a sample request for 5 each of the male and female connectors, and 30 each of the male and female contacts.
