My LS has a dent in one of the exterior pillars on the driver's side. How it got there is beyond me since they seem pretty strong. Is there any way to replace or cover these up?

I bought a pillar kit off ebay, the "piano black" ones and they were about 1/2inch too short (not to mention made of thick plastic.) The seller resent me 2 kits and none of them fit properly.

From what I've seen the chrome ones fit pretty well, but I don't want the chrome especially since my car is silver. Has anyone bought the chrome pillars and spray painted them black?

Any advice/help is appreciated!

all are good options...

A.id say bondo the dent and paint it black
B. if the piano black ones aren't fitting, paint the chrome black
C. look into the vinyl wrap if you dont want to paint

all three should fix your problem pretty easily

good luck

.... the ebay piano blacks didn't fit?

Damn, I had a feeling there wasn't an easy answer. Any recommendations for the paint?

I got these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lincoln-LS-...oln&vxp=mtr&hash=item2a0ca8d29f#ht_2194wt_952 and they were too short and were too thick. They would have stood out like a sore thumb.

buy new oem pillars someone on here got them and that was the easiest way to go cuz i talked to a dent removal guy and he said the same thing to me just buy new ones

Whao, thanks! I thought it was part of the door. I've tried searching for OEM pillars but have had no luck. I'll make a post and hopefully someone has em.

I sanded mine, primed, painted gloss black, 4 months later, wife is happy. Bondo dent first and sand. 220 grit.
