I've had my full intake on for 2 years now, but I finally put on a whole new exhaust (including high flow cats, 2.5in pipes, new x-pipe, and straight through mufflers). Is it worth it to reset the cpu? (10 mins battery disconnect). I've heard it said both ways, it'll take longer to relearn with the reset and it'll relearn faster. Opinions?

I have an upgraded exhaust and intake and i didn't notice any difference when I disconnected the battery!

Theres a reset for the transmission it can "re-learn" shifting, Dont quote me on this its just from what ive read.

i've been wondering the same thing with my "new" tranny and the 2.5" magnaflow cats going in tomorrow. Thanks for posting.

I actually contacted Torrie to see if my tunes would be affected, or if he would need to make modifications to them to benefit from the cats but he said nope.

What would "re-learning" the shifting do? What would it alter? Its all kind of vague in that thread..

The PCM continuously adjusts its transmission shifting and control strategies to the way that you normally drive. This "reset" would reset the strategies to the factory default strategies. Of course, after a few days the continuous leaning would put it back to where it was before you did the "reset."
