I brought my lincoln to jiffylube for an oil change and had them flush the radiator. All was fine than I started leaking anti-freeze, now the engine overheats after a couple of miles. Took it to a mechanic he said that he doesn't think the coolant is circulating. And to bring it to a dealer, I really hope the engine isn't dead on this thing its a v8 3.9

Sounds like the knuckleheads at Jiffy Lube didn't bleed the system properly. Doesn't surprise me at all.

Did you find where it was leaking from?
I would not drive it anywhere if its over-heating have it towed and get it repaired you could be doing alot more damage driving it.

+1.... Do not drive it it is overheating. A good, reputable, mechanic should be able to determine what is going on. Do you know when the last time the thermostat was changed?

No but he said it's not the thermostat, I haven't been driving it at all except for a little 5 minute trip the other day I own a truck as well. However it doesn't overheat when its about 20 degrees out, I drove it for 20 minutes home. I have no heat as well. Its parked untill I can figure out how to fix it but I'm praying it's not gonna be a 2000 dollar fix

Assuming the person who said it is not the thermostat is correct, from what area of the engine compartment does the leak seem to be coming? If near the driver's windshield / wheel, the degas bottle immediately comes to mind for most. Do you hear the hydraulic fan kick on or just see the temp gauge go to hot?

Jiffy did the flush and fill incorrectly. Look at the Tech Articles section at the top of the page for the bleed procedure. Not many cars have a bleeding procedure, hence many places will mess it up. That causes the exact issues you're seeing.

It's a 15 minute job, easy to do at home with basic tools.

Odd, would the incorrect bleeding cause the leak as well? I had an incorrect bleeding before but not leakage.
