hey so ive been rebuilding my 2000 lincoln ls engine which is a 3.9 liter v8 and have not been able to get my hands on new crankshaft bearings. has anyone on here order them previously or been able to find them available anywhere ive called a crap load of places and no one can point me in the direction. i've also searched all the posts and can't find anyone that has looked or found them. if anyone can point me in the right direction please help asap!! much appreciated

my crank is at the shop right now they are waiting to see what size bearings are going back into it so they can remachine it

Call JMS Racing Engines in El Monte California. They are who did the remanufacturing of my bottom end and may be able to assist since all of the machining was done in house. Ask for Mike(co owner). 626-579-4567.

well still having a hell of a time looking for bearings! anyone else got any ideas?? im in desperate need of getting this thing rebuilt and all i need is these damn bearings and im good to go

the maintenance philosophy seems to be to change the short block when you need a lower end rebuild.

There is no such thing as bearings for a crank that's been turned the usual ten or twenty thousandths. The manufacturing philosophy at Ford (Jaguar) measured the crank and the bulkhead openings in the block and it's possible to fit various sizes of manufacturing tolerances in the fourth decimal category, but not re-builder sizes.

For what it's worth, RSR---the factory race shop---uses custom-cast blocks with bulkheads sized for small-block Ford (302) mains. It IS possible to have bearing shell spacers made and turn the crank to the SBF size.

I'm going this spacer route!
