Complex Overheating Problem

Hey guys, I have a confusing overheating problem. I didnt realize that the fan in the 2000 Lincoln fan ran on oil. So this is why I didnt take the Engine Cooling Fan Fluid Reservoir being low was not too serious.
I was always telling myself I would look up what it was later and fill it up the next day. Well it got so low that my thermostat and adaption housing unit cracked.
I got them checked and fixed the next morning. Also the oil was filled back up. The thing is, my car is still over heating. The fan is running, oil is filled, parts replaced, and coolant is full as well.

Is there anything else that I can do to keep my car from over heating? I really do not want to lose my LS because of engine problems. Thanks in advance guys.
 
I hope that the "oil" that you put into the fan reservoir was Automatic transmission fluid.

Was the cooling system bleed?
Does the fan go to high speed when you turn the AC on?
 
Yes it was. I made sure I checked the manual and the net before I poured any random oil in there.

The fan goes into high speed but not sure I understand what you mean by the cooling system bleed.
 
Like he said, bleed the system. Take the cap off the engine and make sure it is full. If not fill it, and be patient it can take a while to top off the engine.
 
ok i will check into that and let you guys know how it goes. Probably wont be able to post till after the new years. Do you guys think this will help with my AC blow out hot air? It is currently blowing cold only.
 
Pulled an all nighter with my cousin to do the system bleed......no luck. we tried it again at 9am but still over heating...

The best way is with a pressure tester.

Here's an alternate.
With the cap off, squeeze one or the large radiator hoses. Note how easy it is to compress. Put the cap on and run the engine until you it is fully warmed up. Squeeze the hose again. It should be very difficult to impossible to compress. If it isn't, then your cooling system isn't pressurizing, which indicates one or more leaks somewhere. (The degas bottle will almost certainly be one of them.)
 
im guessing more leaks.....seemed easy to compress to me. thanks for the help guys.
