Started my Turbo install on my Mark VIII today

And if before anyone says anything about the position I am going for something like this is all

They're on backwards...trust us.

Pep Boys apparently don't know their a$$ from a hole in the ground...

If you ask them, they'll probably tell you the Mark VIII has a Cobra motor in it:D

Trust me I know they are backwards. When I got the car all the rims were mounted mismatched. After I fixed them I had PBoys put on 2 new tires and of course they put em backwards. So to fix it they put the non directional tires on the rims to mach. Instead of taking the tires and putting them on the right way

So are you just playing or serious about doing that ??

I'm serious about doing Twin Turbo's low mount on it. Not the Turbo I had in the pick. That Turbo has a output of almost 5 inches

The shop I am affiliated with now already did a low mount Twin Turbo setup on a Viper. I already built around 10 MOD engines for high boost applications and I have a spare engine. Just got laid off and that's is gonna put a slow down on building a boost friendly engine at this point in time :(

The other fun I had with my Mark today I kinda doubt anyone else really does is made a scrap run with it. I fit a Dozen Hyundai lower control arms, 3 rotors, a large high amperage power supply, scrap aluminum and a sandblaster in the interior of my car to take to the scrap yard

Got a lil slick when I went down by the shovel pit and that thing was damn closer than it looks in the video

HAs anyone ever turbo'd a Mark8? Many have said they were going to do it, but it never seems to happen. At least I do not recall ever seeing one in person, in pics, or in thread.

Do you plan to use two different size turbo's.

No as this Turbo just wont let me run a downpipe as it has a 5 inch Vband outlet  Since I'm gonna wind up on the cheap side with the Mark it will wind up with 2 TD04 Turbo's where the Cats were.

I can't even get that Turbo to fit in the Firebird I picked up to go X275 racing. Mainly cause I am gonna be stuck with a 88mm for the 8.2 engine that is going in it

A TT LS1 would probably fit very nice.

I would rather do that but no Twin Turbo is allowed in the class so single only.

Of course this is just to big for any class rules or short of a Tractor Puller with an Allison engine it would seem

Would prefer an LS series engine for weight savings in a second but I have to 2 problems with that. First is in my class my car will have to weigh 3400 pounds and 2 I already have this sitting in my garage :wrench
