Well, I finally got another one, but when I plug it in, the only things that work are the reset oil change button, and the clock reset. My speakers chime like 3 times and then the chime goes off.

The chime is probably from the air-bad warning light. When the lamp is out, you get an audible warning. Something is not hooked up right or bad. Fuses, harness, etc. There are two connectors to the MS control board on a Gen one. Not sure about a Gen II. On my car one was not wrapped well and would fall way down.

Well, something is wrong with the one I got, guess it's not any good. Just really doesn't work good at all. Still the same problem with only the oil reset and clock reset working. Anti-theft doesn't flash, check engine doesn't show up, air bag comes on here and there. When you try to reset the oil, the message on the screen "hold 5 seconds for reset" doesn't even show up. Neither does the clock thing, just hear a beep. Guess I will have to find another. :(

have you used a multimeter on the plug . I made sure all button opened and closed before i sent it out to you. try using a test light on your plugs

Well, found out it doesn't work! :( I switched buttons modules, put yours in mine, and no to avail, they did not work, my check engine, anti-theft and air bag light did come on though. One button did work, it was the economy one. Then I put mine in yours, and hooked it up, no check engine light, no airbag light, no anti theft, and my buttons didn't work. So I guess the whole unit you sent me is fried or something.

did you take a test light to your plugs???? until you do that i am saying that the unit you first had is most likely fine. it sounds like to me that there is something going on with your wiring harness

No, I haven't taken a test light to my plugs. Yes, the unit I have from my car is absolutely fine, just that, the tabs on the inside of the buttons, that contact, are broke off. So therefore, some buttons don't work, that's why I needed to replace it. :D

Well the buttons swap easy enough. That is also why I picked up another at one point.
