Interior Swap help

anyone know offhand specifically what models came with the "Piano Black" trim finish in place of the woodgrain.
I've got almost all of what I need but have yet to track down the rear door trim and need to widen my search.

Also, will a gen2 centre console with the fixed cupholders swap seamlessly into a gen1?

im not sure the first part, but the console will fit however there will be a small opening were the e-brake is, very unnoticeable if you ask me, I did the swap. The flip out cup holders are so pointless..

the first gen had two style center consoles... JVIP are you saying you placed a 2 gen (03-06) Ls console in your first gen (00-02) LS???
 
gen II center console wont swap over.

gen II uses electric parking brake not a lever.
 
right on, i may play around with it, customization or not.
any body have leads on the piano black trim? from what i can tell it only came on base models but im not sure which color codes or years

No, should have better wrote my response that it was a GEN 1 open cup holder that left the little gap.

From what I have seen this is correct. I have a base model v6 gen2 black with dove interior, it has piano black trim. It has adjustable pedals but that is the only option. I have seen very few LS with the dove interior, and most of those are base model v6s. Some have wood, some have the faux aluminum trim, but most have the piano black. I have not seen the piano black trim with any other interior color but dove. I do not know if the trim from the gen2 is the same as the gen1.

My '06 is Silver Birch with Dove Gray interior. I don't know just how many LSes have the dove interior, but I've seen a few.
 
Mine is also dove gray. Is black and tan more common???
 
I would say that tan is the most common color in this Luxury car, although I have no data to back that up.
From what I have seen on Autotrader and ebay sales the dove interior is the least common of the three interior gen2 colors (dove, tan, black).

Has anyone seen
a) piano black with any other interior color?
b) piano black with any other than a base optioned LS?

I have (had, currently have 3) 4 LSes. Two were dove and two black. The ones in our stable now are two black and a dove.
 
The wood layout is different on gen 2 on doors. The center console is different too. E-brake and i think the front part cuts out higher.

my brother works at one of the biggest scrapyards here in ontario, so i just have to wait for the right time
 
Picked up the 02 centre console for nothing at my brothers work this week. also found the piano black trim for the passengers dash. It's starting to come along!

also managed to snag 2 gen1 turn signal switches that were staring me in the face, if anyone is looking for one
 
i have the piano black trim in my black 2005 with black interior. its a v6.. not sure which pkg it is. it has non sst tranny but it has chrome waterfall and HIDs. I have only seen black piano in 2005s, but im no expert so dont take that as a gospel truth.
 
i have dove gray with wood trim in my 06. my back seat bottom has a long tear in the perforated leather. anyone know where i can get a new back seat?
 
if you want piano black plastic pieces instead of wood, pull them and pain them black.

the piano black has a unique sheen to it; doubt you could replicate with paint. i would probably buy a whole set of the wood ones to mess with and paint the whole set and see how well the paint adheres to them before i kept hunting for the piano pcs tho...
