DO I NEED NEW NUTS? (For Upper control Arms)

I picked up new Upper control Arms for my 2000 LS and noticed the upper ball joint did NOT come with a new nut. Also the upper Arms did NOT come with new bolts (or more importantly Nuts) for the pivot bushing ends that mount to the upper shock tower (the nuts that secure the upper A-arm to the inside of the engine bay).

So the questions are:

1. Is a new nut (locking?) for the upper ball joint required? Or can reuse the existing nut with locktight?
and
2. Do I need new nuts for the upper A-arm pivot bushings? Or can the old nuts and bolts be re-used with locktight?

Didn't replace them tonight since i might need to go back to the dealer for the nuts.

Any time a nylon locking but is used, it is recommended that you replace it. Once the nut is threaded onto the stud, the nylon ring is crushed and cannot be used again. In a pinch, you could reuse it with a dab of loctite, but all of the aluminum parts on our suspensions deform slightly under torque, so a locking fastener must be used. I had a ball joint nut work itself loose after a shop reused the stock nut. I usually keep a bag of 10 or 15 of each size in my garage. Ford should have them in stock. Good luck
 
Thanks for the replies. I picked up OEM Ford (Jaguar) Upper A-Arms. FYI... the ones i got didn't come with new nuts for the upper balljoint or the pivots but plan to pick new ones up today just for piece of mind. Especially after previously having the nut on my lower balljoint come loose.

Yeah, the Ford toe links don't come with hardware either.
 
I bought euromarque and they do come with the new nuts, so do their balljoints. Not to hijack the thread but does anyone know what the torque specs are for balljoints, tierod ends, and upper arms. Just had new joints pressed in and replaced A arms, I want to make sure everything is torqued correctly. I'll also keep searching the forums to see if I can find the info.

From what I've seen, the nuts and bolts on a lot of these assemblies have part numbers, which means you may need to get those as well, unless in is encircled as a total assembly.

Can be a pain if you over look 1 part

I should note, John Deere does this a lot which is why I suspect the [hardware is extra] to be common place
