I have an 03 LS Sport and I've been searching for over a week now and have had no real luck in finding certain things. And I think my local dealer is a dumb-ass. I also have some questions.

I want to replace some little missing things here and there.

Starting off this post looks messy, so I'll number questions to try to help lol.

Q1 - Where can I get these little vent chrome pieces? #1 pictured
Q2 - I have some cracks on my armrest (not pictured). Has anyone tried any leather repair kits that they can recommend?

Q3 - I currently have these silver lug nuts

and want to change to something like the blue ones (but in black)

. Since they're shaped differently would that be a problem?

Q4- I'm having trouble finding a driver side headlight assembly. Can some one help with finding one near them? I've even posted a "WTB" ad on here.

Q5 - I need to replace one of my cats (assuming there's two). If I only replace that one does it matter the brand/make? Can I remove both cats and install one dual-in/dual-out cat to replace the two?

Q6 - As a listed option, it says I have heated mirrors. Does the heat turn on automatically or do I have to do something?

Q7 - Auto windshield wipers. When set to auto are they only supposed to come on in the rain? Cause mine will come on even when it's not raining.

OK. I think that's it for now. Ever since I joined this site you guys have been a big help and I enjoy driving my car a lot more now then before.

#2- don't bother re-upholstering the armpiece...the cheapest I've seen it done was like $100 for a leather cover that you have to upholster yourself. Look on ebay, I've whole center consols for $145. but you may get lucky and find just the decklid (armrest)

#4- I have a GEN1 driver's side headlight assembly, I actually have 2. One is in fantastic condition, and one is in pretty good condition. but I think the '03 is GEN2

#7- If the "auto" setting on the wipers is in fact the moisture sensing wiper mode, it can be triggered if you have an oil-based lube on your windshield like Rain-X. It says never to use products like this.

Don't worry about the auto wipers. Mine do the occasional swipe when it is completely dry.

Yeah, it's a Gen2. I don't use rain-x. I was curious about the wiper thing though lol.

That's what I thought. I guess I'll just replace the ones the tire shop cut the covers of off.

its annoying. i don't like the design. parents have an ls with destroyed lug nuts as well. we bought a 6 point lug socket to be used on this car only. hopefully that keeps the new ones from getting torn up.

right now I have an assortment of the two lugnuts pictured above, most of my lugs are the blue shape. why would the shape matter?

Cause of how they fit into the hole of the rim. The silver one makes contact "above" the hole holding it tight. The blue one would go into the hole not holding it like it should be.

That's my thinking on it, but I still had to ask to make sure.

The blue anodized ones do look good though.
Sorry thought I'd say that. Lol

I want the black ones, cause I want to do this to my stock rims and have the lugs black to go with the rest of the inserts.

Oh yeah of course. I mean get the anodized ones that best fits the color
Of your car for a nice clean look.
I was just stating that I love the anodized Look of lug nuts, pulleys, and
What not. Lol

If your windshield has a lot of pitting, that can affect the rain-sensing wipers. Mine used to not operate when I needed them, and go off randomly otherwise. Then I replaced the windshield and things are much, much better.

Q1: The P/N is 4W4Z-19E984-AAA, knob.

Q2: You would be better off replacing the whole arm rest. You could try a local upholsterer and see what they would charge to re-cover the arm rest.

Q3: You need the same type "shaft" lug nut. The LS wheel centers on the hub, not the lug nuts and the wheel "rides" on the lug nut shafts. The acorn type won't provide enough support for the wheel.

Q6: The mirror heat is energized with the rear defrost.

Q7: The auto-sensing wipers will do an occasional test swipe (it's in the OM). I would leave the auto feature off unless you need the wipers as a dry swipe may very well scratch the windshield.

#1: Call Max, he's sourced them before (ad on the right "When you need parts fast...")

#2, #4: Keep WTB posts going, also hit up local junk yards, ebay, etc.

#3: The stock rims were designed to be seated by the washers on the stock style lugs. If you swap to an acorn, that may damage the rim, may not seat correctly, etc. Lugs are a good thing to be careful with. Now, many folks us acorns, and mine came with a few. If you have aftermarket rims, then it's up to the rim manufacturer on how they are supposed to be mounted.

#5: Which cat you get is really driven by where you live. CA is very strict on replacements. Other places not so much. A good exhaust shop can point you in the right direction. As far as replacing with a dual cat - No. A quick look under the car should show that doing a dual cat would be a nightmare.

#6: Read your owner's manual?

Thanks for all the help and info.

I am in contact with a member for a headlight.
