so im about half way through this photo thread and i havent seen another lincoln with the rag top. am i the only one thats done it?

I drive by this thing everyday on my way to work its horrible it has one Lse side skirt with a rag top and the grill is just chit!

nope, the covered wagon look just is not as desirable on an LS, most people that want a covered wagon just end up getting a Towncar or a Grand Marquis.

The old VP of Marketing promised to break the legs of any dealer that put a carriage top on an LS. He said they could gussy up any vehicle they wanted EXCEPT the LS; the LS was to be left alone!

Yes, I assume that also some dealers were trying to "class up' the LS to appeal to maybe an older buyer but it is just so wrong on a luxury sport sedan.....
