Lighting issues-neon

My neon works when it wants to. It's been doing this since i got it. Sometimes it works perfect, sometimes only when the brakes are used, and sometimes not at all. Is there a spot where the wire tends to wear out or pinch?

I am replacing the main headlight switch soon because the dash lights are also intermittent. I figured out that if i fiddle with the switch, they eventually come on.

Replace your headlight switch before you condemn the neon any further...that could be your problem..mine does the same thing
My decks buttons will not illuminate, when this happens neither does the neon.. Toggling the dimmer makes them work again
