I was wondering if the homelink memory gets erased when the battery is disconnected. I am going to visit my brother this weekend and he lives in one of those annoying gated communities. My homelink is programmed to open the neighborhood gate. My problem is that my alternator went out and when I changed it last night I had the battery disconnected...

Mine has never lost it's memory.

No, it doesn't [get erased].

Glad to hear. The gates will only open with the remote, so I am glad that I should still be able to use the homelink since he will be at work when I arrive.

My homelink never lost it's mind and recently had to regularly remove the neg terminal to get rid of the check engine when I've done work on it.

Still opens my garage doors.
