There is a voice command button on my steering wheel and it keeps going off with out me pushing it. It shuts the radio off when it comes on and it comes on every couple seconds. Any suggestions on how to fix it? Please no comments saying how dumb I am i just want some help. Thank you!

aftermarket radio or anything? is your car a second gen (2003-2006) because I don't think I have that button...

I would imagine it is some how making a circuit due to a bare wire in the steering wheel or at the harness i would pull the radio and check that out and maybe take the button panel off the steering wheel to see if there are any quick obvious answers hope this helps

The gen II with navigation has the voice button.

The most likely suspect is the clockspring.

The most likely suspect is the clockspring.

it does sound like the beginning of the CS failure.

if your SRS light comes on soon, you will know for sure, is everything else on the wheel is working perfectly correct? does the button feel normal when you press it, more specifically, does it feel like it is clearly clicking on AND clicking off?

Everything else is working fine and yes it feels like its clicking on and off ok. I never use it at all and it just started coming on while im driving. what is the clockspring? How would I fix that? Also, the SRS light or anyother light has not come on.
