Simple. The car drops at speeds a little over 60 approx 1" and stays there until speed drops below 45, and then goes back to standard height. All other height adjustments are due to whats in the car. When you get out after parked its only lowering cause your weight is gone. There is no park height.

I wouldn't trust that site but....I always took any compressor in and out when getting in and out as adjusting for the weight of me. And only have heard of on the road adjustments as the 60+ and 45-.

My 93 vents couple seconds after I shut door after getting out parked.

Cause you got out. If you weighed 0lbs the car wouldn't vent. It won't vent til the door is closed either to prevent jambing the door into the grass/curb.

I don't think so. Just like stated in Chris's post car is going to its parked height which is same as highway height.

yeah, from watching my car, im pretty sure it vents when the door is shut. and every time time i start it, it raises back up.
i've seen it raise up when started remotely, and then vent again when i open and close the door. all without me ever getting in the car.

Yes there is a park height and its the same as the highway height
Also after about a half hour of sitting the car checks itself again
I can also turn off the park/hwy height with my asham8

That could be true.
According to Eddie its called curb height.
Park the car, get out it adjusts to curb height, which is the same height as 60 mph height.
Has nothing to to with weight as far as I know.
It will do it if a dog was behind the wheel.

Well I never knew that park or curb height was the same as highway. I thought it was as simple as highway or not highway. My car seems to get alot lower on the highway than parked. And I don't really notice much of a lift once getting out of park.
But weight has to do with it as weight drops the car and bags fill to compensate If you have 4 people in the car, it vents out ALOT more than 20mm once parked. I loaded up my Mark 7 with four people and had a friend who didn't quite get the concept of the air ride flip the trunk switch before we got out.....instant 4x4.

That is just about the coolest commercial I have ever seen!
If I'm not mistaken, the owner's manual explains the height adjustment. I'll have to check when I get home. But I've been told...and I'm pretty sure I've read it either in the owner's manual or sales brochure...that when the car is parked, and both doors are shut, the suspension drops down to "parked" or "curb" height, which is the same as curising hight. When you get out of the car and shut the door, you can hear the solenoids click open to vent and you can see the car lower. It does it every time. And of course when the car is loaded with passengers or cargo, the auto leveling feature is going to raise the car up to either standard or cruising height.

Correct.
Anyhow it doesn't matter much.
All I remember Eddie saying is car should be aligned at curb height, Which is the same height the car will be at during freeway speeds.
And we all know Eddie is the man

Congratulations fellas your the smartest VIII owners. In the near 10 years of owning mine I knew not of the little extra thing as the "park height" always assumed it was just dumping the height of people exiting. When I see a random VIII on the highway I always took notice of the lower than city stance. Often when parked they seem rather high, leading me to never knowing of this "park height" as what I thought and seen seemed to agree. Truth be told the VIII is a car that I only still have cause its kinda cool at most with what it has and is, and it has almost no value, so not worth selling. But the reality is its a POS compared to the other Lincolns I have and owned. I'll still keep it though, for a cruise once in a while, may even track it some to try and beat my LS times.

That brought back a memory. I don't know if I should admit this or not, but I used to have a '78 Mustang Cobra II. It was red with all the requisite Cobra "go-fast" decals and such. Tan interior, console, 13" aluminum wheels, and a "massaged" 302 with Edelbrock aluminum intake, Holley 600cfm 4-bbl, tubular headers, dual exhaust and glasspacks. It was fast, but too dam small. I felt like a sardine in that car. I didn't own it but about a year. Then I got a '79 Lincoln Town Coupe. That was more like it

That and alot more. Traction is abit of a problem currently, she breaks them loose at 30, not just alittle, some surfaces I have to slap it Into 2nd cause it will spin right past 6k. Never even hit it from a stand still yet.
