sway bar dammage question

the holes in my addco front sway bar are all wallowed out due to a dealership rigging washers and crap between the end link and the bar....

my question is has anyone ever welded and re-drilled a sway bar, aka anti roll bar before? what bad could come from doing this?

All of the Addco front bars that I've ever seen have holes that are too large. I've made conical shims from stainless stock to solve the issue in my cars.

Re-drilling would be a challange as the holes are supposed to be tapered.

thank you dlf, i will be calling you soon. as soon as i get paint on it my focus is going to be on the rear end. i want to replace everything.
