Ohio meet

I think the Summit website said 9 was when the cruise in started. I am also about 2 hours away and I'm planning on leaving about 10 am. That should put me there about 12 or 12:30. If everyone wants to meet somewhere else at a certain time I'm cool with that !
 
I'm not going to be able to make it, it's my 21st birthday the 11th so I will be a little wrapped up...

Maybe we should all meet somewhere outside of Summit first? Depending on how busy this event is it might be easier to drive in as a group so we don't get all spread out.

Let me know if that sounds like a good idea guys.


Also... To the owner of the black first gen1 who was dipping in and out of traffic this morning with me on 480E and staring: Your car was real clean. First time in almost 2 years I've seen anyone younger looking then 40 with a tasteful LS around. Kuddos on that. If you read on here reveal yourself...
 
we could meet at Akron U. its only 10 minutes from summit, plus i used to gothere so i know how to get around. It would also look awesome all of us going up the highway together
 
That would work. My only suggestion would be somewhere east of Summit right off of 76. The guys and girls coming from Cbus and Pitt wouldn't have to go past Summit and backtrack then. There is Kent State University a couple miles down the road where I'm by, and an exit with a Cracker Barrel and a couple other places as well.
 
I like the idea of meeting somewhere before going to Summit. I'm flexible on what time we meet as long as its after 11:30 am.
 
Turns out I have to take a "tour" of the hospital where we are having our child on saturday @ 11... so could we meet around 12:00 or 12:30? there is also a mcdonalds down the street from Summit with a fairly large lot we could meet in.
 
Im good with 12 or 12:30. That'll give me enough time to get there. And I like the idea of meeting outside of summit and driving in all together. Mcdonalds or Kent is fine. I'm not sure where the Mcdonalds is but I know where Kent is located


oh btw, i dont want to rain on our parade, but it looks like it might rain saturday

I assume (speak up if you disagree) that well wait around a half hour or so. I'm going to wait till Friday for a weather update. Those guys couldn't predict a sunny day if they were in Hawii. But if it looks like rain is going to be a problem well figure out what to do then. I probobly won't drive 3 hours in crappy weather for a wash out. Sorry. But if it just scattered and not storming , its all good.

on a side note, I need a new pass side rear toe link, as it is now squeaking like hell due to a torn boot and resulting dried out joint.
 
Akron U has a huge parking deck and the top makes for a great photo shoot and its right off of 8 and 76, it take literally 8-10 minutes to get to summit from there and its easy to find. I say we meet at 11:30.

There are tons of parking lots with awesome buildings in the back round plus on top of the deck you get the akon city skyline

That sounds great. But There's no way I can make it by 11:30. I have one delivery that I have to load up onto a trailer that morning. Then I would like to at least wipe the dirt off my ride. Plus a 3 hour drive. I'm pushing 12 :00
