Gen1 Motor Position

Stupid question of the day. The clearance between the cross-over pipe on the radiator shroud on my granddaughter's 94 is about 2 to 3 inches closer than on my 93. It looks like the motor sits farther forward in hers than mine, which makes the oil filter impossible to get out. There is no clearance. It looks like the P/S pump will have to come off to get the oil filter off. What the hell?
I have checked everything I can think of, and nothing seems out of place, bent, or jacked up.
Has anyone else ran into this?

I have a 93 and a 94 and I never noticed any difference ... Oil Filter comes out the same PITA way ...

I've got an oversized Addco swaybar up front of my '94 and the oil filter still comes out, how hard have you tried to get it out, it can take some twisting and turning the filter till it's out?...

I have turned that filter every way I can think of.

I know the Fram is a taller filter then some other ones. I had to use an STP filter to make it go in easier.

If it's that much trouble, remove the left swaybar mount

I end up having to pry it out between a hose, which has very little movement, and it comes out, not easily, but it does come out.

If you are facing the car in the far right corner you should be able to push it through. You will need the oil filter top facing you then a snug fit through ...

Good thing you might spill some of the oil in the oil filter make it slide a bit easier. LOL

Maybe you have a motor mount issue...
