I just got my first Ls not even 3 months ago and I'm thinking about purchasing another one. I found a 2001 for under $3,000. I'm thinkin about getting it but when I text(says too busy to talk) the person they dnt really give me full details and extra pics I asked for.
They told me the head gasket was replaced and has 143k on it. They also say the interior needs work. Do you guys think I should go for this deal?

Not without seeing it. And I'd wager it was the valve cover gaskets. "interior needs work" without actually seeing how bad it is, is rather scary.

What kind of ls do you already have? If you want it go for it but I'd rather drop that money on a 06 LSE the newer the better.

I've seen exterior pics but seem reluctant to send me interior and I'm not going to make 2hr trip without them. I have a 2000 lincoln ls v8 silver. I would love nothing more than to get a 2006 but I'm nowhere near able to spend that cash without big regrets lol

Or just pass on the deal. I wouldn't waste my time acquiring an ls with 143000 miles on it to begin with. Save that cash for the first couple things that go wrong with your current ls.

one LS is a lot to keep nice, and even more to make better, two LS's just seem like it would be a nightmare (the main exclusions are that the few people that do own more than one, tend to have much new and much nicer LS's than at least a sub $3K 1st gen with 140K on the clock). unless a lot of your LS is junk, and between the two, you can make a half way decent car, i would save the money for when you start having expensive problems.
