I just bought my first 01 LS and I am trying to follow the Draining the Lincoln LS Cooling System per the fourms tech article above I just cant find the ENGINE COOLANT FILL !!

I have read and read but still cant locate these!

Pictures will really help!!

Also I cant find the engine air bleed or the heater air bleed the diagrams are zoomed in, black and white and detailed very plain but my experience with this motor is NONE !

Can someone please post a picture with a arrow pointing to these locations or circle them

Thanks alot for your time !!!

Its by the base of the windshield drivers side. Its a plastic bottle. The heater core bleed is right near it like by the brake master cly. Its a whip.

No. The engine fill is near the front center of the engine. You'll see a black cap with a hexagon shaped hole in the top, with about 3 coolant hoses coming together underneath it.

If you read his post he is looking for the COOLANT fill. Oh snap do the v8's have another fill in front?? I thought v8's had same degas bottle?

Yep like pek said the coolant fill on v8's is right in front of engine intake like dead center. All other spots i mentioned are in the same spots. I.E. degass and bleed. Does the V8 have a plastic engine cover that cover the front fill?

i guess it does have a plastic cover because i dont wear glasses and cant find it !! thanks for your input right on the mark & pektel

Ok do you have everything down pat now? Sence its a V6 you have NO coolant fill anywhere except the degas bottle that is at base of windshield. The heater bleed is a whip and its right between the master cly res and the degas bottle. There is a plastic engine bleed that is very troublesome with sticking shut and breaking. This can be found by looking at your pic and where you see that hose with the blue stripe on it follow that one to front of engine about 4 inches and look below hose mentioned and you will find engine bleed. I choose to just remove the small hose that is right at that bleeder to bleed and not mess with the engine bleeder. FYI the upper coolant hose on your V6 is like 200+ dollars if you break that bleeder.
