when i started my car today it war shaking , so i put it in drive and i started shaking a little more so i put it in park to open up the hood th see if it was any visual damage (Just to look good for the neighbors) and i got an egg smell so i look in the rear and i see some smoke coming from the tail pipe. When i took it to auto zone for the free cel service he said cylinder 1 and 2 where mis firing anyone got any input

Bad Coil+Bad coil+Bad plug+Bad plug+fuel burning in cat=Ick

To further the equation...

Bad Coil+Bad coil+Bad plug+Bad plug+fuel burning in cat+Time = clogged cat

Right now you have to replace at least two coils and two spark plugs. If you wait too long, you will also have to replace one or two catalytic converters (if you aren't already at that point).

If you are smart, you will go ahead and replace all of the spark plugs and coils.

If you have a 2003, 2004, or 2005 and have less than 100K miles, then Ford will replace all failing coils and associated spark plugs at no charge.

i thought he was joking.

everybody knows the number one problem is coils and plugs.

He's got a 1st gen..

It's the coils and possibly the Valve Cover Gaskets.. I can't remember if you have a V6 or 8..

Well I think you need to go to highschool if you didn't know what threadjacking is.. It's 2 words compounded.. Thread, which we are on, and jacking, talking about something that is not relevant to the thread's purpose..
