The LS is no more :(

I guess I'm gone for now.I'll still lurk the pages but im going to buy a 99 svt contour this weekend to replace the ls.No car payment that way.thanks guys

The way you describe the accident makes the outcome seem strange. Why didn't you ask the cop, who refused to hear your story, to send his supervisor? If the girl just darted across a road with moving traffic why didn't the cop write her a ticket? Why didn't your insurance company sue her insurance company when they refused to pay? That's what insurance companies do when their client is in the right.

We asked the cop at the scene of the accident multiple times, he wanted nothing to do with us or the people that were stopped in traffic that witnessed the accident.


Why would he write her a ticket? I dont get that one. As I said, traffic was backed up in the opposite direction so she did have a obstruction. Aside from that some cops just dont care. When you bounce off of a windshield I dont think calling in a supervisor easily comes to mind.


Not all insurance companies sue everyone. Thats not what they are there for. We still owed and the car was claimed totaled, there was a minor stipulation in our coverage. The car was paid off but medical expenses and others were not and our rate went up. But seeing how the company was pretty useless we did end up dropping them. Now, thats what attorney's and magistrates are there for. We, in order to see what we put into the vehicle, would have to sue her. Not something we were exactly in the position to do at the time.

I honestly hope you would not believe I would make something up for no reason.
 
The SVT Contour is a great car!! I had one before I got my Taurus, and even though I sold it just over seven years ago, I still really miss the manual transmission. I have an 84 M6 with a manual, but sadly it is now stored for the winter in heated garage until roughly April. I hate the north. I should move to the south so I can drive it longer.
 
What are you going to do with the ls?
 
Yea I still got her, the snow we got the other day is telling me to sell her tho, then again I am on streetslicks... :eek:
 
Sorry to resurect an old post but IM BACK

I'm back in an LS. This time even better!!!!! The only thing i miss about the old LS was the color i looked and looked and couldn't find another one in that shade of blue. I also wish my old was a sport and not a base model. So after much searching i drove two hours to Wichita ks from Topeka ks and bought this 2000 LS sport v8 Navy blue. I bought it all stock it also came with a set of 20's i may not even put on the car i like the stock sport wheels. I had it one day before i ripped out the factory stereo system and replaced it with all kenwood equipment except for the door speakers all four doors got new pioneer 3 ways because i like the sound from them better. This car is right the previous owner gave me receipts on all the work done on the car in the last year and let me say wow. He covered all the problem spots from the ball joints to the transmission being replaced all with existing warranties:)..

I have replaced the drivers door window regulator with motor, sway-bar bushings with the energy suspension's bushings, end links and i put new ceramic pads and new rotors on it all the way around as well. And of course the in-dash DVD subs and door speaker replacement and wiring.Other than that the car was a solid purchase.

I love having another Lincoln and I hope this one stays intact (no wrecks)..And the best part of owning this lincoln ls is i own it no car payment like the first one woo hooo!!!!!

nice man but you couldint get a gen 2??

You need to get the rest of the woodgrain trim and also the wood shift knob and wheel.

I wanted to pay cash this time around and this is the best gen 1 i could find for the money that i wanted. Maybe a gen 2 on the third go around?
 
I like it. Lose the bang on weights and get stickies lol. Not a fan of the 20s tho

Great idea on the weights.....as far as the 20's go me neither but hey they came with the car. if i had it my way id get black ones with a chrome lip.
