How do you press out the lower balljoint?

Lower Ball joint

I went to Oreillys and used their rental ball joint removal tools. The car is a 2001 LS v8. No heat needed and pressed out without any problom. You do need to remove the hub assembly which was a bear do to rusting and seizing to the arm. took about 1 hr to do.

X2 It took more time to get hubs out without killing them then doing the balljoints.

Of course couple bolts and there suppose to drop out. Yours where not frozen in. Its really common. You got lucky,I read alotta peeps have the frozen in hubs. I don't know where your car is from but maybe the NE winters and salt make the alum react and freeze those suckers in.
