Engine stumbles at 3k rpm

so basically SST can be used as an automatic that will shift at a slightly higher rpm??

Not slightly.. Like right before it taps out.. So your not sitting in a gear bouncing off the rev limiter

that is so lame. my mark viii will just bounce off the rev limiter if i dont shift it or shift too late.

well being a jag engine its expensive as hell to replace so id rather be safe than sorry.

Remember the market this car was for..

That being said, the 'little old lady' puts it in 2nd gear by mistake and winds the V8 up to 7k RPMs for 2 hours.. Do you think the engine go BOOM BOOM? lol

That's why they did that.. I also read this on Wiki (I believe) so don't take my word for it.. Wiki isn't always the best of sources.. All I know is I'm not going to try it.. Especially when running boost..

pretty sure mark 8s had a similar market.
my car was bought and driven by a little old lady before we had it. i know a few other little old lady's that have mk8s here in town as well.

The mark has the 4.6 cobra engine though....thats a huge difference.

If the LS had the 4.6 it would stomp all over marks.
