Need some opinions...

Sounds familiar. That's one of my biggest fears (hitting an animal). I'm always flying down Sauk Trail thru that forest preserve around 1am and also down Western.

i hate going down ummmm..., i think its torrence over by sauk trail, at night, guessin' we live in the same area then huh?

everythings all good so far, car's at the shop, insurance will cover it, but they'll still tell me what they fix and how much it was so i'll update this when i know that

hell no.... i started taking off my old bumper but i stopped because i had to go to work, so my old bumper was still on, but SSHHHHH.... the insurance company doesnt need to know that, for all they know i bought a sport bumper and it got jacked up again :D

Ok got the estimate today.... $2500 in damage, they're replacing the bumper, hydraulic fan, radiator, and a heating fan? Not sure what the heating fan is but that's what they said

I was going to say, damn that sucks..

That's good though.. Going to get that put on and pocket the rest? Because that would be sweet.. And maybe you could use that 'extra' money and get yourself dem angel eyes.. :D

nah... im not even getting a check, insurance company told me to drop it off at a shop (as long as they ok it) and to have them do it this time.....

Fresh air

actually for a car that old, the lysol, or other spray product is a good thing to kill all the bacteria/mold in the air vents which may contribute to the problem. I like the "fresh linen smell" spray. With the windows up it will help kill bacteria in the carpet and on the leather too. I do it once a year to my LS. Don't use air fresheners which just cover up the smell with something stronger, you need to kill the mold and mildew. try it.

so heres an update:

the called me today telling me the car was ready so i went to pick it up

get in the car and drive off only to find the cars lights flashing on and off and losing power to the car, so maybe alternator? i dont know

i kind of shrug it off since i've known for a while that i'll need a new one and it wasnt their fault, so i get home and open the hood..... there was still deer guts all over in the hood (even though they claimed they got everything) and i look at the degas bottle and its was at the exact same level that it was at after i hit the deer.... so needless to say the car is back in the shop and their looking at the electrical system and everything, topping off all fluids and cleaning the engine bay
