i have a 00 lincoln ls 3.9, i've replaced everything i read about with vehicle still overheating.
new parts:
water pump
thermostat and housing
degas bottle
belt
electric fan

Are you leaking fluid? If not, bleed the system properly.

Does it over heat while driving? at idle?

i noticed a small puddle on drivers side. tech looking at it now and we bleed system accordingly. i have plenty of heat. overheats while driving not atb idle.

So, your degas bottle is cracked at the very least.

Did they reconnect the hose properly at the bottom of the degas bottle?

im gonna have to check that hose again taking the liner off. and yes new london ct
bought the car in warwick a few months ago. wheres the actuator?

Also check where that hose connects at the firewall. maybe it is loose there.

2000 LS? Electric Fan?
WTF? Aftermarket?

Actuator is on the hydraulic pump for the stock hydraulic fan, which is mounted on the passenger side above the alternator. It's the only electrical connection going to the pump, so it's easy to see. Not easy to get to.

Probably a leak/pressure problem.
The first time I did a coolant flush, I got everything to work the first time.
The time I replaced a crap-ton of cooling parts, it overheated badly. I drained and refilled, and worked fine. Can only assume there was a significant air block that I didn't get out. Of course, it was 1AM, so could have been a lot of things.

Whatever is causing coolant on the ground should be found and fixed first.

its an aftermarket fan. i can't seem to find the leak and starting to smell antifreeze. im at my witts end.:(
