Selling my after-market trunk spoiler. It was on my LS for about a year. Painted Pearl white, with 3rd brake light. In mint condition except for 2 minor imperfections(pictured). Not sure how they happened, maybe rock chips. If you're interested, I can get you a really good deal on getting it painted to match your car color. (Also posted on the parts FS section)

Asking $100 + Shipping OBO. Please note the "Or best Offer. "

Imperfections: (For some reason the paint looks silver in this picture, but its pearl white)

I'm not much on rear spoilers, but that one looks nice. Someone will snap it up.

If you say you can get a deal on painting it, what would be the price on painting that thing cashmere tri-coat? Code is G4.

I'll let you know ASAP, going to see my guy tomorrow to get some other stuff painted as well...what's the fastest way to reach you?

Looks like I won't be able today to go see my friend, got almost 3 feet of snow here in north jersey, I'll get you that price ASAP.

Im not sure about Kashmir, send me your paint code and I can ask for that price too if you want.

And sale is not pending, I have not agreed to hold it for anyone or accepted any deposit yet so, who ever is interested just make an offer.

Paint code is G4. Very hard to blend. I have wanted to do some paint work on my LS and everyone told me they cannot paint match this color except for the dealer. Depending on the shop, they may be able to match correctly. If they can't, that's just to bad for me.

By blending do you mean they try to get the tri-coat color in one paint canister? I got my tri-coat paint from Paintscratch.com and it comes as a base and mid coat, then ofcourse clear coat, but not one can with both base and mid coat mixed in.

I wanted the tri-coat paint done like it was originally at the factory. Almost all body shops around here have said that this color is a hit and miss match even if done with tri-coat.

Well I dont know how it is painted by factory, but my understanding and what I have found from searching is that tri coat paints are more expensinve to buy and have someone paint it for you. The reason for this is that when you buy a normal color, you would buy the paint color and the clear coat, when you buy tri-coat paint, you have a base color and a mid coat of shine/mellatic specs then the clear hence tri in tri-coat. This is also why they charge more to paint tri-coats, because you have to paint it with 3 different paints instead of just 2. Although, I dont know why I have heard it's harder to paint a tri-coat paint than a metallic, a tri-coat would just be like adding an extra coat of paint.

I'm not sure on this, but I dont think tric-coat paint would be called tri-coat if it wasn't applied in thre(tri) steps, even if it is factory.

Like I said before, I have a ceramic white pearl tri-coat and I bought some spray cans of this paint from paintscratch.com. They make your paint when you order it, it's not pre mixed. I painted my lower panel on my rear bumper a few weeks back and the paint matched perfectly. I sprayed on the white base, then mid coat(mine is a clear/white paint with silver and green shiny specs), then the clear coat, three steps and it's a perfect match made by a rookie painter with spray cans.

I believe you, it's just I live in a town of 8,000 people. I am thinking they are more afraid of messin up a paint system such as this. Or they do not have the know how to do it correctly. The high end work around here cost around three thousand but I have seen some pretty nasty snake eyes in the paint making it look like the typical maaco job. I was told by the painter that it was normal. I know it is not. A few years ago I asked a highly recommended body shop if they knew how to negatively charge a car before paint. They replied that they do not use that junk. Their work was found out to be two inch thick bondo with dupont pant. What a waste.
