Ok so my mechanic says that my engine is locked up and it has to be replaced. I don't know much about cars. go figure! but i love my LS even though i replace something every month it seems like. I know its a 2000 ls v8 85000 miles 3.9L 240.1 cu in 3,934 cc, so does that mean i have to put the exact same engine in it or can i use a different one? Please help!! Any suggestions???

You need another 2000 ls v8 motor. You can put a different motor in it but it wont be cost effective. Upload a pic of ur ls

where can i order or go pick one up at im willing to travel to go get it. So far i have called different part stores in the area and can't find one for less than $3500

what shop is ur car at now? i recommend kenny.. on sterling ave.

right now it's back in my garage. Had a friend tow it back until i figured something out. is kenny very expensive?

mypartshop.com is a good place to look..

3500 is for a new or reman.. probably the reman..

used and it had more miles on it than my car has on it now. i was thinking about maybe even doing a rebuild if i can't find one with less miles than i have now.
