Sprint Springs Finally Installed!!!!! PICS INSIDE

How hard was it to install the springs? Air tools or no?

I want to do install the shocks fist to compare oem vs monroe, then drive a few days lke that to feel if there is a difference and then install springs.

it wasn't really that hard, the fronts took the longest since i had to cut the sway bar end links off and replace them with moog ones, but my brother and his friend did most of the work, they did the back at the same time and got both sides done in maybe 30 minutes, oh and air tools definately makes it a lot quicker too

for now the monroes feel good but i can always cange them out with oem

but yea i would just do everything at once instead of taking every thing off again to switch out the shocks

its definately gotten lower since those pics too

That is BEAUTIFUL! I like your taste in rims also. What size/offset are those by the way? Nice work man.

18 inch 40 offset i believe

i need a new ball joint on passenger side, wheres the best place to get them?

thanks! i was thinking maybe moog for $54 from rock auto but the shipping is delayed over 2 weeks

You had to cut off the sway bar end links for the springs or while you were at it?

They might be gone after that happens :shifty:

no i hate it when theres no tire shine on them, but trust me theres some on there now

couldn't get the bolt off, so we had to cut them, probably need to be replaced anyways though but yea had to take them off to do the springs

well my brother actually mentioned it, he said that its not really supposed to move a lot and that i need it replaced, he could be wrong though, i hope hes wrong lol

A test for the ball joints: jack up that corner of the car. put your hands at 12 and 6 on the wheel and try to move it. If it moves, replace ball joint.

Also, tie rods can be tested by putting your hands on the wheel at 3 and 9, and trying to move it.

Thank you !

When you dropped off of the jack stands for the last time, did you get the impression that you simply "corrected" the ride ht, rather than "lowering" it?

I think this is where they should sit right from the factory...My 2cents...:)

I agree, when they designed how the car sits on the suspension, they left too much wheel gap. However, with how it was designed - it was definitely not built to be this low.

thanks i'll try that when i'm off friday or saturday, should there be little play or it shouldn't move at all?

do you mean, did i make it to where i think it should be from the factory? if so, then yes, well maybe not that low just a little higher from the factory

i think that they should have came from the factory with the ride height the eibachs offer imo

my sprints just came in today =] cant wait to get them on. how long did the whole process actually take to do this ?
