That 1997 has been in craigslist for a while now, and obviously his price is way too high. Its definitely worth a call and a low ball offer. I'd love to see pics of it!
As far as the 98's color, I don't think your going to see many 98 LSC's with that mileage, condition and starting price within driving distance of you. I guess I hear you on color though. I had a black 1993 and when I got my Gen II, I didn't want black again. My current 98 is white and don't love the color, but the mileage was right (I got it with 55k).
