Degas Bottle how many times had you had to replace it?

I just replaced mine 2 years ago. The car over heated the other day and I replaced the Thermostat. Bleed system car ran great for a or 2 day ,Then over heated again. Opened hood and saw coolant leaking for the center of Thermostat housing Cap (where the allen wrench hole is). Will replace the cap and bleed system again. I see no other leaks. The Car is a 2002 V8.

2004 - Changed at the end of 2009, along with many plastic parts of the cooling system.
2006 - No problems yet.

I pickup the cap at lunch will replace in the parking lot at work.
Hope that will fix. we will see?

Where did you find the cap at? I have not had any luck finding one.

Dealer has 'em, around $10. I had to drive an extra 15 miles to a different dealer to find one in stock. When calling, be sure to tell them it's the cap that goes on the thermostat housing for coolant - not the degas cap. Part number XW4Z-8A4110AA.

Oddly, the seal on the new one is different than the old one. The new cap has the seal secured under the nut-like protrusion. The seal on the old cap was separate. Granted, 150k miles ago, that seal might've been secured, also!
