seems like an interesting project

I would have to say Town Coupe. That would be sorta neat to see on the road.

It would indeed! I had a 1979 Town Coupe about 20 years ago. It was awesome. The doors were enormous and it had a power moon roof that was as big as the windshield on my Mark VIII. The interior was plush velour and it was frakkin awesome! The only problem was that the engine was a boat anchor. That old 400M couldn't get out of its own way. But I still loved that car!

I had a 77 Town Coupe with a nice 460 under the hood... That thing would pass everything except a gas station. It was a complete leather interior but the car was the ugly cream color of the 70's.

wow. It looks like all the hard work is already done. If i had the money id buy it. I need another project now that the vert is gone lol.

Mine was cream with full fender skirts. I have a pic somewhere I will dig it up and get it scanned. That car was like driving around in your living room. lol

did it also have the faux Auburn exhaust pipes, with shag interior and leopard print vinyl top and bull horns hood ornament

I'd like to see it. I was an idiot for selling that car. The more I think about it, the more I wish I had it back. It was roomy, comfortable, relatively powerful (considering the absolutely pitiful 400M V-8), and just plain awesome! You could fit several bodies in the trunk...if you had to...:D
