96 Mustang GT gave me crap?!

It is a friends car and it is showing 116k on the clock. Grinds into 2nd, missing it's airbox so it's just a crap Mustang he traded a garbage Blazer for. So we finally put them up against each other and it was almost neck and neck

We are talkin I only pulled like a fender length on him and that was on the top of the 1/4 :shifty:

Almost seemed like my slow shifts let him keep up with me? OK time for 4:30's and a shift kit. I wonder how much a flash would improve it?

Gears, T-lok and a tune and you will destroy him. Have the timing retard between shifts removed in the tune.
You have to remember that his POS still can run a 14.9 to a 15.0 (5spd) which is right on par with a stock Gen II. He has a definite weight advantage.

It didn't spin that I could feel but he was spinning like mad on the launch so it may have covered the sound of mine spinning? On the weight deal he had his Baby Momma in the car with him but I had a full tank of gas and a bit of Stereo weight in my Mark

LoL, I raced Laser yesterday, I have a huge speaker box in the trunk, and I also have th stock Base gears and no Tloc, he has 3/73 Tlok, tune, bigger exhaust....and now a blower...once he pulled ahead of me..which didn't take but a sec..all I could hear was my tirE spinning away...it was like racing on ice..no use

as I milked the throttle trying to regain traction and watching my tac for the shift, I glance up and see he is already a few lengths ahead..I was just going into 2nd about the time a said screw it.

My car will probably not see anymore mods since I have to buy another car with tax money next year

Yeah I have quite a list of mods I want to do to this car but a job would be a real big help :shifty:

Hopefully the one 6 miles from my house will come threw and then the fun begins cause the 4:30's wont be any problem

Throw on a used nitrous kit and pull even with him again. I bet with your mechanical prowess you could barter for mods.
