Suggestions for Cobra rotor replacements please

I'm sick of these Powerslot rotors vibrating (I should have got the cryo ones I guess/maybe?) I've had them turned true 2x already and it goes away for the winter and part way into summer but it keeps coming back. I've only put maybe 7000-8000 kms (not miles) on them and they are driving me nuts. I know the radial runout is fine when I put them on and after I turned them as I measured it. The shop that redrilled them to the Lincoln pattern did an exceptional job. I could turn them one more time probably before they are below min.
Any suggestions for good rotors for the front (13") would be great.

Do you have the rotor/hubcentric rings... I know on stacks car with the Mark hubs they vibrated like crazy, but after the hub swap smooth as glass.
 
Looks like from the reading I've been doing on different forums, Brembos are the way to go??
 
I have a set of Bear rotors on the front of my mark and they are awesome. I also have a set of the brakemotive rotors on my F. They are a better casting and a higher quality than other rotors i have got off of ebay, but definitely not the same quality as the Bear. I'm sure that the brembo's are a higher quality as well. The Bear's are about 2X the thickness of even the brakemotives.

Really? I think shipping would kill me though as they are heavy. I'll shoot you a pm :)

Any recommendations on pads? I have Porterfield R4S pads that are great but dust under heavy braking I've found.

I have Brembo calipers, but I've found that the R4S pads generate far less dust than the stock Brembo pads. I don't think you can do better than the R4S pads.
 
I've heard from guys at work and reading some on the forums that ceramic pads can be great for very little dusting, I just don't know what to get or to use these R4S pads as they are still 3/4+ good...
 
I hear nothing but complaints about drilled and/or slotted rotors. Mine's going to have the plain Ford Racing rotors that come with the Cobra brake kit. Unfortunately you can't buy the rotors separately that I can find. After these wear out I may just sell the car. :(

you can buy a blank rotor almost anywhere. I got mine a napa.

That was going to be my next choice if I can't get these from DLF or up here. The Brembos are a lil pricier than I was hoping, but we'll see. I may still go there for some ceramic pads :)

FWIW

I've had pretty good luck over the years buying drilled and slotted rotors from companies that use Brembo rotors to start with.

One caveat, Brembo calipers don't tend to warp rotors like the PBR/Cobra calipers do, due to the larger swept area of the pads.

Yeah, what's up with the Cobra calipers/pads only contacting the outer 2/3 of the rotor anyway? Seems like a huge waste of iron.
 
I can't afford doing all the calipers and rotors and pads right now, I have some other issues with the house and car I need to do first as well :(
 
I caved and just ordered the Ultra Premium rotors and CMX pads from Napa. I couldn't see spending a bunch again on rotors after this crap I went through with these Powerslots in only 7-8000kms (turned 2x.)
Hopefully they work fine...?!
Thanks everyone and esp DLF for the help and offer on the rotors, if I was content in keeping the car I'd take you up on it for sure... :)
