I'm just curious how many here are running 4.10's with the stock shaft? At what speeds do the vibrations start? Under heavy acceleration does it vibrate too?
I have 3.73s and I have had it up to 125 with no vibration. Its a 93 with the one piece driveshaft though.
Did the other years have a two piece drive shaft? Why did they do that?
Noise Vibration Harshness. In a stock application the 2 piece isolates it better.NVH issues??? Well Im going to sound dumb but what is NVH?
anyone want a 3.5" dynotech driveshaft, bought it for my 4.10's and it vibrates pretty good at about 75 and up. really wish I bought a 4" but I took advice from Dennis Reighnhart.
I plan on doing minimal drag racing and besides that nothing over 80-85mph....
My concern was pretty much with the short term. If I got the gears done would it be safe to drive for a month, two months tops till I get the proper driveshaft on? I've got an awesome deal so I don't want to pass it up if the car will be fine for a month or two with the stock 97 shaft.
There's a 93 in the junkyard by my house. I'm going to try and get there today if I can get out of work early. It also has a Strutmaster coil kit that looks almost new. I'm taking the kit for my 94. If the gas tank doesn't have to come out, I'll take the driveshaft for you. I think its $20. Do you have a way to pick it up??
Is it a big deal to remove the tank?
