So i just got some hid housings for my 96 mark VIII. i noticed that my original crappy bulbs do not even fit into the hid housings. i want to run an aftermarket hid kit in these housing and was wondering if i need any adaptors for the new bulbs to fit into hid the housings?

DLF, a member on here makes adapter rings. If you buy an aftermarket hid kit for a 97-98, the bulbs that come with it will fit the 96 factory HID housings. DLF's adapters allow you to run a different bulb if you want to use factory hid ballasts. I'm assuming that you just got the housings though.

i did get the factory ballests with the housings should i use it or get an aftermarket ballest?

You can only use the factory ballasts with the factory 9500 bulbs.

Aftermarket kits come with the ballasts.

alright thanks. also dlf if i buy your adaptor kit will it come with every thing for high and low beams or just the low beams?

You get two adapters as shown for the HID low beams. The high beams do not need adapters.

buy an HID kit from DDMtuning.com they are the best kit for the money IMHO. I run them in all of my cars and have never had an issue.

I went with the 35w kit also. I was worried about the additional heat of the 55w kit. Brent is right, my 35w way WAYYY brighter than stock (even stock HID's).

I get mine from www.vvme.com never had a problem and have used them on all our cars I have the 55watt low's on the Rav and the 35watt slim ballast's on the Low and High beams in the Mark.
