Well, the search didn't turn up anything for this - not even google advanced.

The previous owner had a flat last year and they didn't put the jack and lug wrench back properly. It's loose and banging around on some bumps.

Nevermind, I got it. The jack has to part way up for everything to fit into place. They had thrown it in the full down position.

All the manual tells me is that on my V8 Sport, the lug wrench attaches to the jack which I figured out by the clips on the jack. But other than that, what's the proper storage for it? A picture would be most helpful.

In my Gen2 it was on top of the spare, has a slot to slide onto the rod and be tightened down.

Nope, jack is under the tire. Has it's own separate threaded rod (small one) to hold it down.

Yep, that's the way both of mine are. The jack has to be screwed about half way out to fit.

If you go the AAA route... just ditch the jack and spare :) save weight get better gas mileage...

i thought there was two little arrows that had to be lined up to know exactly where the jack had to be to fit in, this however could have been in a totally different car.
